Fusion is a process in which two or more companies are merged into one entity. This can be done by one company taking over the other, or by both companies ceasing and forming a new company together. Mergers can have tax consequences, including the transfer of assets and liabilities, and must be notified to the Danish Business Authority and the Tax Agency, as well as an assessment report and a merger plan are required.
